On Blogger.com, you’ll be able to put Google AdSense on your blog. AdSense is a list of ads that are related to your site that can be clicked on by a visitor. Every time they click on it, you get paid. Becoming an affiliate of Amazon and eBay is also a way to create some income on Blogger. What you’re able to do is sign up at either site and display items related to your topic. If someone clicks on that and buys it, you get a commission of what is sold.
What if I’m ready to start making some serious money?
You need to find a niche that people are spending money in. A niche, or niche market, is simply taking a specific topic or product, and focusing on marketing it. For example, let’s say you want to dedicate a blog to weight loss. After doing some research you see weight loss is an absolutely huge market. What you need to do is break it down into a more specific niche, such as best weight loss supplements. What this does is get you a site where there is not as much competition, enabling you to climb the search rankings faster.
How do I find out how much competition and what people are looking for?
An easy, free tool to find this out is the Google Keyword Tool. What you can do here is enter your niche keyword and it will display results related to that word, how many people are searching for it, and what your competition will be. Another program that you can purchase that I use and is absolutely unbelievable is Market Samurai. It does a lot of the hard work for you, and a lot of stuff you would have to do manually.
What About Traffic?
Traffic is one of the most important aspects of building a successful money making blog. Let’s face it, you can have the coolest blog with the best information, but if no one knows you’re out there, and doesn’t see it, how much money will you make? Social Bookmarking is a great way to get fast traffic to your site.
What if I can’t write?
There are actually a number of different places online to hire people to write articles or blog post for you. All you need is to do a search on “article writing service”, and a bunch will pop up. Let them know what you are looking to write about and it’s done.
